ASD operates and maintains approximately 7.5 million square feet of facilities — the largest physical plant managed by any public entity in the state. The replacement value of ASD buildings exceeds $1.5 billion. Maintaining the community’s investment in these facilities is critical and the district bonds for major system renewal projects.

What is included in the $20 million proposition?

How much does the district budget for maintenance in the General Fund?

In the FY 2006-07 budget, ASD has budgeted $19.7 million for ongoing maintenance. This money covers items such as painting, repair, replacing broken glass, fixing locks, plowing show, installing traffic signs, repairing fences, maintaining plumbing, heating, electrical and roofing systems, etc.
