IT Committees
ASD's IT Committees are a mechanism for sharing the technical expertise
that is distributed throughout the district, and for providing forums
for broad-based district consultation on technology issues. Technology
Steering Committee (TSC)
The TSC is comprised of senior administrators and technical staff.
It was formed to review, evaluate and recommend to the Superintendent
or her designee technology requests for approval and funding. In
addition, TSC will develop technology infrastructure related policy
and guidelines. These policies and guidelines will include, hardware
and software standardization, purchasing procedures, refresh guidelines,
acceptable use policy and procedures, and radio/telephone communication
policy. TSC's chair is Carol Comeau and co-chair is Jane Berglund.

Internet
Policy Committee (IPC)
The IPC is comprised
of technical staff and faculty. It was formed to develop guidelines
and procedures for the district's internet and intranet usage to
include planning and implementation. IPC's Chair is Jan Thompson.
Committee Members
Hardware
Standards Committee (HSC)
The HSC is comprised
of technical staff. The committee focuses on recommending standards
for new computers, printers and multimedia projectors and makes
recommendations for all other peripherals. In addition, the committee
focuses on recommending minimum specifications, such as, Product
Line or brand, Processor, RAM, HD, NIC, and so forth. HSC maintains
the Approved
Technology List using volunteers from the committee. HSC's Chair
is Moyce Polanco.

Software
Standards Committee (SSC)
The SSC is comprised
of teachers, principals, technology coordinators, Instructional
Technology and Information Technology staff. The committee focuses
on recommending standards for productivity software for admin, teacher
and student computers. SSC's Acting Chair is Mary Wegner.
