For people reporting one race alone, 78 percent was White; 6 percent was Black or African American; 6 percent was American Indian and Alaska Native; 7 percent was Asian; 1 percent was Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander, and 2 percent was some other race. Ten percent reported two or more races. Seven percent of the people in Anchorage were Hispanic. Sixty-seven percent of the people in Anchorage were White non-Hispanic. People of Hispanic origin may be of any race.
