David Poulin holds a Master Teaching license in the state of Alaska for
Adapted Physical Education. As a nationally certified Adapted Physical
Education Specialist, he serves a variety of students with disabilities
districtwide. Formal schooling was completed at Eastern Connecticut State
University and Charlotte Mason College located in the United Kingdom. David
has been involved with the Special Olympics since 1990 and with Blaze Sports and the Paralympic Academy since August of 2005.
In a collaboration with Jeff Dick of Challenge Alaska, David is developing the Blaze Sports Alaska program to better meet the needs of the physically
disabled students/kids in the Anchorage community. He is currently also a volunteer coach in this program with a personal goal of assisting students in becoming candidates for athletic college scholarships in disabled sports.
