Library Curriculum
 Welcome to the Library Curriculum page of the ASD Library Program. There has not been a curriculum coordinator for the ASD libraries in a number of years and I am excited to be building this support structure to assist in the ASD Libraries mission to "support the educational goals of the Anchorage School District by providing resources that meet the educational and personal needs of students and staff, and by ensuring that all students are provided instruction and assistance that encourage their becoming lifelong learners and library users." (Anchorage School Board policy 346.31 Mission and Objectives Section - 345.31 approved October 11, 1993.)
New library patron system
The 2010-11 school year brought with it a new online catalog for district libraries. The new library patron system enables staff and students to access library materials in a meaningful way. A few of the new features include the ability to view book covers online, access personal library accounts, write reviews, rate books, conduct searches and place holds on material.
