Area Band, Choir & Orchestra Festivals 

Area Festivals typically occur in March and April, for band and orchestra, and November, for choir, and feature students from elementary through high school, organized by region. The Dimond Area Band Festival, for example, involves band students from Dimond High School, Mears Middle School, and all the elementary feeder schools of Mears and Dimond. These concerts show the opportunities available to ASD band and orchestra students from 6th through 12th grade.

There are eight area band festivals and seven choir festivals - basically one at each ASD high school. There are fewer area orchestra festivals; some high schools and middle schools are combined at one festival.
