Employee Benefits
The Anchorage School District provides access to a variety of health and other benefits to eligible employees. Employees participate in the premium expense, with employee cost varying depending upon the bargaining unit and the level of benefits selected by the employee.
This Web site is an overview meant to provide basic information on the benefits available to active, regular, full-time employees. Every attempt has been made to be accurate in the descriptions of benefits. In the event of any discrepancy between the information contained herein and the plan booklet, the plan booklet will prevail. Benefit plans are reviewed annually and may; therefore, change from time to time.
Employees should read the benefit plan booklet for a
complete description of benefits, limitations, exclusions
and for information on how best to use the benefit plan. Questions
regarding the ASD-provided insurance plans should first be directed to the plan
providers (i.e. Aetna, VSP, Symetra).
