Following the Leaders (FTL)

Following the Leaders (FTL) is a standards driven, technology based, project designed to help teachers and students raise achievement and exceed the requirements of NCLB. Providing technology tools, educational resources and hands-on support, FTL allows teachers to better address individual needs and effectively communicate with everyone involved in a child's education. FTL is interested in providing teachers with tools that have proven effective when used in conjunction with a school's curriculum.

The Educational Leaders Council (ELC), in partnership with Achievement Technologies and The Princeton Review, oversees the FTL project. Following the Leaders logo

At the school level, FTL is implemented through the use of two internet-based programs: Homeroom.com, a formative assessment building and results driven program, and SkillsTutor, an interactive diagnostic and instructional program catered to individual student needs. Below are brief descriptions of these two programs.
