Culturally Relevant Teaching and Learning: Classroom Application

ASD Summer Academy (ASDSA) 2009
May 27-28, Block A, 1-Credit Class
Dr. Martin Brokenleg (keynote speaker) will highlight the importance of culturally relevant curriculum and focus on strategies for educators to infuse cultural awareness into their classrooms and school communities. The course will provide strategies to challenge and motivate culturally diverse learners. Participants have the option to attend one of two public events by Dr. Brokenleg (morning or evening, May 26th) in lieu of the final afternoon of class at ASDSA. Middle School Education will provide a $100 addendum to the first 40 ASD middle school educators who sign up and successfully complete this course. Please sign up on MLP.
