No Child Left Behind / Elementary and Secondary Education ActAlaska STEPP (Steps Toward Educational Progress and Partnership)Title I schools identified at Level 2 or above are required by NCLB and Alaska statute and regulations to create or revise a School Improvement Plan that meets federal and state requirements. The Alaska Department of Education and Early Development is piloting an online system for meeting Title I School Improvement Plan requirements. This system is called Alaska STEPPS (Steps Toward Educational Progress and Partnership). In the fall of 2010, thirteen ASD Title I schools volunteered to participate in the first cohort of AK STEPP pilot schools. In the fall of 2011, four more ASD schools joined the second cohort. Currently, sixteen ASD Title I schools participate in AK STEPP. When AK STEPP is implemented, it guides school improvement teams through a continuous cycle of assessment, planning, implementation and progress tracking using research-based indicators. To review a participating school's AK STEPP plans, login using the school's guest password: Airport Heights - guestAK5238 Chester Valley - guests6234 Fairview - guestAK5241 Government Hill - guestAK5242 Lake Otis - guestAK5243 Mountain View - guestAK5244 Muldoon - guestAK5245 North Star guestAK5246 Nunaka Valley - guests6238 Ptarmigan - guestAK5247 Russian Jack - guestAK5248 Taku - guestAK5250 Ursa Minor - guestAK5251 Williwaw - guestAK5252 Willow Crest guestAK5253 Wonder Park - guestAK5254 The login and password are the same.
