| African Club | Corin McCoy | After school in the dance room. | The purpose is to raise awaremess about the African culture and its customs. |

| Anime Club (WHAC: West High Anime Club) | Nathan Burnham | Every day during lunch in Science Room 5 | The club is for students to hang out and discuss their favorite subject: Anime! |
| Bible Club | Troy Carlock | Wednesdays during lunch in Room 4. | The intent of the Aftershock Bible Club is to be a place where West Students can pray, worship, and study the Bible during lunch. The club will also perform acts of service for the community and the school. |
| Business Professionals of America | Bonnie Vaughn | The purpose is to learn more about standard business practices and to compete on a state and a national level. | |
| Caps for Chemo Club | Angela Powell | One lunch a week TBA in the 09-10 year | This club is being formed with the primary purpose of knitting and donating caps for people undergoing chemotherapy. The club will encourage faculty and community member to also knit and donate these caps. The bluc also hopes to create awareness and sensitivity to people suffering from cancer. |
| Datika Dancers | Katie Cueva, CITC teacher | Mondays and Tuesdays in the Eagle's Cache from 2 to 4 pm. | Datika Dancers keep Alaska Native cultures alive. They are involved in activities such as learning dances and songs and performing dances and songs. |
| Gay/Straight Alliance (GSA) | Barb Clark and John Ruhlin | Tuesdays at lunch in room 14 | The club exists to promote understanding and dispel prejudice amongst gay, straight, and bisexual students at West. |

| International Club/ Junior Bridge Builders | Lo Crawford | Wednesdays at lunch in the library | The purpose of this club is to promote harmony among all cultures, to increase awaremess of our similarities and differences, to enhance positive attitudes, to encourage participation at West and in community activities, and to grow in the appreciation and celebration of our unique, diverse school population. |
| Invisible Children's Club | David Vano | Wednesdays during lunch in Room 29 | Our purpose is to raise and promote awareness of the kidnapping and exploitation of children in northern Uganda and neighboring regions for use in warfare through education and public outreach. |
| Laughter Club | Kevin Lynch | Every other Tuesday during lunch | The purpose of this club is to promote happiness and lessen stress. Just walk in and laugh. |
| Live Action Role Play (LARP) | Kelleigh Orthmann | Fridays at lunch in Room 17. | The purpose of the club is to bring together students who enjoy Live Action Role Play. Students plan and participate in weekend LARP events and discuss rules and guidelines. Students who are interested and welcome to come and find out what it is all about. |
| National Honor Society | Judy Friar and Debbie Barker | 1st and 3rd Thursday at lunch in Library | NHS primarily recognizes scholastic achievement, leadership, and an outstanding personal character. Our goal is to provide a baseof support to encourage continued academic accomplishment and personal character growth. Entrance requirements are a 3.2 GPA for three consecutive semesters. |

| Orchestra Club | Ms. Willis | 1st and 2nd hours | Orchestra provides opportunities for students outside of the school day. |
| Monty Python Fan Club | Ms. Fairbanks | Mondays and Wednesdays during lunch in Room 9 | This club explores the origins of modern satire and to fund opportunities for students to experience more intelligent forms of humor. Club time is spent watching Monty Python movies and the Monty Python's Flying Circus TV show. We plan on doing fun and maybe silly activities on the days when we are not watching Monty Python. |
| Partners Club | Hope Gage and Ardy Pozzi | After School Tues and Thurs in Room 38 | Partner’s Club is sponsored by Special Olympics Alaska. The club provides an opportunity for students with and without disabilities to get to know each other through sports like bowling and track and field, and through social activities and community service projects. |

Phi Phi Phi strives to spread the word that math is beautiful. Members who are in at least Algebra II and have at least a 3.0 math GPA are eligible for full membership in Mu Alpha Theta, the national high school and two-year college mathematics honor society. Anyone interested is welcome to participate in the club. Club members provide math tutoring, participate in various math competitions, and celebrate math everyway possible. |
| Polynesian Cultural Club | Lo Crawford | Tuesday during lunch in the library | The purpose of the Polynesian Club is to share the traditions and customs of Plynesia with the West High School community through a number of activities. In doing so we hope to promote a positive image and decrease negative stereotyping and discrimination. |
| Rifle Club | Chief Pickle | Incorporated with team meetings during Rifle Season | This club p[romotes safety in the sport of shooting and supports the West Rifle team through fund raising and public relations. It provides an organization for competition utside the ASD Rifle season, such as Junior Olympic competition. |
| Russian Travel Club | Michele Whaley | Tuesdays in the Russian Room R-5 | The purpose of this club is to enable Russian students to travel to Russia to help initiate changes that will improve lives in both Russia and America. |
| Spanish Club | Señora Carr | Every other Wednesday after school | The purpose of the Spanish Club is to provide community service, provide tutoring to West High students,and to sponsor a family during winter break. |
| Thespian Club | David Block | Room 48 | The Troupe is the honors component of the school's theater program for the advancement of standards of excellence in theater. The troupe will encourage students to attain better mastery of the theater arts and will reward those who achieve it with induction. |
