As a steward of public resources, ASD is committed to efficient
and effective use of its funds. Only through sensible,
responsible, open budgeting can we maintain financial
accountability. s
Public accountability
Community members, parents
and staff are encouraged to
express their views on the annual
budget development process.
These suggestions add valuable
contributions to the district's
decision-making process.
Additionally, the school board
conducts public hearings in
January during which the budget
recommendations are discussed in
detail. Public testimony at these
meetings is beneficial and strongly encouraged. |
