Anchorage School Board
 The
seven-member Anchorage School Board determines policy
to guide the district. Elected each year
for overlapping terms, each member
serves for three years.
The school board meets on the
second and fourth Mondays of each
month at 6:30 p.m. Meeting agendas
are published regularly in the
newspaper on the weekend
preceding each meeting. Agendas
are available in Braille by calling
Communications, 907-742-4153. The
district’s cable Channel 14
educational bulletin board also lists
the agenda. Board meetings are
broadcast live on Channel 14 and
are closed-captioned for the hearing
impaired.

The ASD Web site, www.asdk12.org,
provides the latest news, important forms, school lunch
menus, school board information,
employment opportunities and
much more. It contains an
interactive part for suggestions and
parents can sign up for e-mail
notification of school closures, news
releases and school board items.
