About our school
Eagle Academy Charter opened in 2005 as a K-6 tuition-free, lottery school of choice. Students are assessed and grouped by achievement level in language arts and math rather than by grade level. Reading is taught phonetically using the Spalding curriculum, a research-based, multi-sensory method of instruction employing direct teaching. The school functions under the management of an academic policy board, comprised of parents, teachers and a community member.
