About our school:

Highland Academy is a performance based, competency learning public charter school for grades 6-12 in the Anchorage School District. Highland equips students with the academic, social and technical skills required to excel in today’s world and contribute positively to our society and the future. Self-direction and personal accountability are critical components to success at Highland. Students at Highland are encouraged to accept responsibility for their own learning, set goals for themselves, and develop the work ethic and self-motivation necessary for success in school and beyond.
