About our school
Mears is one of the largest middle schools in the state with an enrollment of more than 835 students in grades 7-8. Mears strives to create a positive, nurturing and rigorous academic environment where all students are successful. Core academic classes are teamed, allowing instructors to share the same students, which helps students make the transition from elementary school. Academic teams also provide a large spectrum of options for involvement in all levels of course work in language arts, science, social studies and mathematics, including both gifted and special education curricula.
