The Anchorage School District is implementing a process of publishing Academic Plans to share critical information about our courses with students, teachers, and parents. Currently, Academic Plans are available for language arts and mathematics courses, but soon the list will be expanded to include all subject areas. Outstanding teachers from all grade levels have been collaborating with curriculum personnel throughout the summer to create the plans, which incorporate some key shifts from the Common Core State Standards.

Academic Plans provide information about learning outcomes for each quarter as well as information about essential concepts and vocabulary, standards, instructional resources, and assessments.
