‌ASD-TV is available to homes throughout the Anchorage bowl on GCI cable channel 14. This public information service to the community is provided to the district by GCI free of charge. It provides comprehensive programming for educators, students and families. Between programs, bulletin board items run with information about upcoming events, lunch menus and other important district news.

 

Regular programming includes:

 

  • National programs on educational topics
  • Instructional television programs
  • District programs on educational services
  • School board meetings broadcast live and repeated several times during the week
  • School closure and delayed opening announcements
  • Original programs produced by ASD-TV staff including  Miss Mimi's Music Room

Imagine Island - En Español

Throughout the month of April, ASD-TV will feature the Spanish versions of Imagine Island each weekday night from 7 – 8 p.m. These programs are a great resource for early learning and English language learners. See a sample show on our On Demand page.

All Around ASD

This regularly updated program features stories on events and achievements all around the district. The latest edition features K-12 art at the Anchorage Museum and the Smart Girls Rock event at Dimond High School. Also available on demand.

ASD-TV YouTube channel

Some original programming is also available through YouTube, such as the award-winning Helping Refugees in Anchorage video and features on ASD programs receiving national recognition.
