Sandy graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota. She taught elementary Physical Education for the Orono School District before moving to Alaska. Sandy has been teaching Adapted Physical Education in the Anchorage School District for 22 years. She is a Nationally Certified Adapted Physical Educator specializing in the transitional phase of student programming.
