Assistive Technology
The Assistive Technology Department is a related service to Special Education students in the Anchorage School District.
Since 1989 the Anchorage School District has provided Assistive Technology support to Special Education students in the
areas of communication, written production, literacy, computer access and adaptive classroom participation.
The goal of the Assistive Technology Department is to assist school teams in matching technology with student needs to
access their educational program.
Current staff members include Speech Language Specialists, Occupational Therapists and an Instructional Assistant.
