"Do math and you can do anything!" National Council Teachers Mathematics The ASD Math Department works to ensure that all Anchorage students have access to high-quality, engaging math instruction. We have ambitious expectations for all students, which accommodate individual needs. The adopted curriculum is mathematically rich, offering students the opportunity to develop and understand important mathematical concepts and procedures. Technology is an essential component of the mathematics classroom. Teachers are supported with the latest research and training in mathematics curriculum and education. The department's goal is to produce mathematically literate students who can demonstrate their ability to solve problems and apply their mathematical knowledge to relevant situations. |
