May 2007 - Final version of the Agreement between the
Anchorage Education Association and the Anchorage School District July 1, 2007-June 30, 2010 now available.

April 2007 - The Anchorage School Board approved the tentative contract agreement and one year memorandum at their April 9, 2007 meeting.

March 30, 2007 - Members of the Anchorage Education Association (AEA) ratified a one year memorandum of understanding and a new contract effective through June 30, 2010.

This is the contract under which teachers' are currently working. Eligible returning teachers have been advanced one step on the salary schedule.  In addition, eligible teachers have received credit for educational attainment.

“I am very pleased the teachers ratified this agreement,” said Superintendent Carol Comeau. “It was a long and sometimes difficult process and I think all of us look forward to putting it behind us, focusing on the great things happening in the classroom and moving towards a successful end to the school year for everyone.”
