Some changes on the salary schedule cause renumbering of steps. This can be confusing as teachers will move to a higher step but the name of the step (or number) will remain the same. The graphic below shows one member’s progression through the salary schedule. The member receives steps each year.

Why eliminate a step and renumber?
Both teams agreed to eliminate a step to compress the schedule so teachers can move to the higher end of the schedule more quickly.
