About the Committee

The Native Advisory Committee is an advisory committee to the Title VII Indian Education Program and Anchorage School District Board comprised of volunteer citizens who meet the following qualifications:

is interested in improving education for Alaska Native/Native American students and commitment to the purpose of the Anchorage School District Title VII Indian Education Program;

is willing and able to attend meetings regularly;

is committed to working toward increased communication with the community in the conduct of NAC affairs;
The stated purpose of the committee is to review and make recommendations to the Title VII Indian Education Program and to the School Board relating to the education of Alaska Native/Native American students K through 12 Districtwide.
The NAC holds at least one meeting each month, subcommittees also meet. The total time requirement of members is approximately 8 to 12 hours monthly. |
