Elementary Honor Choir

Each year outstanding 5th and 6th grade music students join together to form the Elementary Honor Choir. Selection of members is based on auditions. Only Anchorage School District 5th and 6th graders may audition. No exceptions will be allowed.

Classroom music teachers will distribute detailed audition information to students. For specific audition, rehearsal, and concert dates and locations, see the Festivals/Honor Groups Calendar.

Attendance is expected at all rehearsals, and, of course, the performance. The conductor may grant permission for a student to be absent from a regular rehearsal.

Students who are accepted into Honor Choir will need to provide their own transportation to and from rehearsals and the performance.
