Standards
Anchorage School District Content Standards, K-12
Affirming the belief that knowledge of the visual arts is an
indispensable part of a student's total education, the ASD K-12 visual art program is designed to encourage
independent thinking, creativity, and development of an
appreciation for humankind's artistic endeavors, prehistoric to the
present.
Alaska Content Standards
The Alaska Department of Education and Early Development has developed content and performance standards for Alaska students.
National Standards for Arts Education
These national standards, developed by the National Art Education Association, offer "one road map for competence and educational effectiveness, but without casting a mold into which all visual arts programs must fit."
