Please note that this process is only for current ASD
employees with certifications.

Substitutes for AEA positions
If you are interested in applying for a substitute teaching position, please stop by the Human Resources front desk to request a sub-teacher packet. In addition to filling out an online application, you will need complete and return the items in the packet (see list below) to the HR front desk. Please call 907-742-4115 with questions.

- Infectious disease training
- Finger print receipt or waiver or Alaska teaching certificate

- 2 letters of recommendation
- Original transcripts or transcript copies with originals being provided within 45 days

Exceptions to certificated online application process
External certificated ACE positions, exempt and charter school principal applicants must submit a print
application. Check the Position
Vacancy Announcement (PVA)
if you are unsure which application to use; it will instruct
you to use this print application if necessary. Current
ASD employees applying for certificated
ACE positions should complete the Employee Transfer Request.
