| Date: August 4 7, 2003 (Monday -Thursday) Location: Boniface Mall iTech Lab, Suite 22, and TPD Training rooms Time: 8:30 AM 4:00 PM with a 1/2 hour lunch break University Credit: Optional two credits (Pass/No Pass) - $109 (Participants must attend all four days) Stipends: Stipend paid to each participant - $110 Paperwork for stipends will be completed at the end of the day on Thursday with the course evaluations. | Course Description: The Leadership in Technology Institute is geared for a target audience of principals and teachers who will be leaders in their buildings in the area of technology integration. Participants will have the opportunity to learn technology skills and integration methodologies to enhance learning and increase productivity. The sessions will provide participants with the tools necessary to be a 21st century leader in technology. The following topics will be covered during eight sessions over the four days of the Institute: OS X Basics iLife and Apple iApplications (iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie, & iChat) Technology Integration and Why Technology? Technology Planning for Leaders Microsoft Office (Entourage, Excel, Word, & PowerPoint) Online Resources |

| Course Overview and Expectations: This course is designed to give participants the opportunity to learn technology skills and integration methodologies to enhance learning and increase productivity. This is a two-credit graduate pass/fail course at UAA. Grades will be based on attendance and participation in all class sessions, and completion of the projects listed. Keep a learning log with notes and reflective comments about what you have learned in this class. Learning Logs: All learning logs are due no later than Friday, August 15, 2003. |
