Math Academic Plans & Common Core
Outstanding teachers from all grade levels have been collaborating with curriculum personnel throughout the summer to create academic plans, which incorporate some key shifts from the Common Core State Standards.

K-8 math programs adopted
The school board approved the adoption of Go Math! and Big Ideas at their Jan. 24, 2013 meeting. The new programs will be implemented at the beginning of the 2013-14 school year.
New in 2011-12: The State of Alaska has determined that high school math credits earned in middle school will not count for Alaska Performance Scholarship eligibility. They will continue to count toward ASD graduation requirements.
