Vendor presentations

During the summer of 2012, a committee of ASD teachers did an initial review of math curriculum materials submitted by vendors, as part of the district’s K-8 math review. The public also provided input during this initial review phase. The textbook selection committee narrowed the list to six vendors in fall 2012. These vendors then presented their materials in a series of public meetings.

People All community members are encouraged to watch the vendor presentations or view the materials on display and give their feedback. All comments will be shared with the K-8 Math Materials Selection Committee.

Review committee

A huge thank you goes to the following Anchorage community members who were selected to serve on the K-8 Math Materials Review Committee:

The vendor presentations are now being broadcast on ASD-TV channel 14. One of the six presentations airs at 7 p.m. each night (live streaming too) through October and November. The 90 minute presentations are also available On-Demand on our website as well as on our YouTube channel.

The materials from the vendor presentations will be on display for parent and community feedback throughout October and November. Following public input, the committee will conduct field tests at a number of schools across the district.
