6th Grade Orchestra:
Honor Orchestra

Each year outstanding students enrolled in the 6th
grade orchestra program join together to form the
Elementary Honor Orchestra. Selection of members
is based on auditions. Only Anchorage School District
6th graders enrolled in their school's orchestra or
band program may audition. No exceptions will be
allowed.

Orchestra teachers will distribute detailed audition
information to students. For specific audition,
rehearsal, and concert dates and locations, see the
Festivals/Honor Groups Calendar.

Attendance is expected at all rehearsals, and, of
course, the performance. The conductor may grant
permission for a student to be absent from a regular
rehearsal. 

Students who are accepted into Honor Orchestra will
need to provide their own transportation to and from
rehearsals and the performance.
