This has been and continues to be an outstanding partnership for Bartlett High School. Alaska Regional Hospital has demonstrated a broad-based support of students, staff, and programs at Bartlett. Alaska Regional Hospital has been involved in the Bartlett Young Women’s Leadership Conference for the past two years. This support has included scholarships for students to attend the conference, provision of guest speakers, and materials for the conference. The Young Women’s Leadership Conference is an opportunity for young women to interact with women leaders in the Anchorage Community and the support from Alaska Regional Hospital has been instrumental in the continuation and success of this conference.

The Mathematics Retreat organized and provided by Alaska Regional Hospital allowed Bartlett’s math teachers to interact and learn from the hospital’s employees. The retreat provided for dialogue and exchange of information that is invaluable.

Currently, Alaska Regional Hospital and Bartlett High School are working together to plan for career exploration opportunities for Bartlett students at Alaska Regional Hospital. The ongoing partnership provides a broader scope of understanding for Bartlett students, which enriches the educational experience and increases understanding of the expectations in the world of work.

Edward Lamb, President/CEO, Alaska Regional Hospital

Alaska Regional Hospital is pleased to be a School Business Partner with Bartlett High School. This partnership affords unique opportunities for positive interactions between students and teachers and the employees of Alaska Regional Hospital in a variety of ways.

As a part of the School Business Partnership, Alaska Regional Hospital hosts students from appropriate classes to visit with staff and areas of work. As a business that employs staff in a variety of career pathways, this is an excellent opportunity for students to learn about a broad range of careers.

In addition, we have employees available to provide classroom presentations for students and workshops for Bartlett staff.
