The Star Award was initiated in 1996 to recognize an outstanding Partnership in the Anchorage School District. At that time there were 190 partnerships and today we have established over 500 partnerships, so it was decided to increase the Star Awards to five.

  • Anchorage School District Star Award-one award, partner with whole district
  • Star Awards - three awards to partners of more than three years
  • ROOKIE Award - one award to partner of less than three years

To be nominated for a Star Award, a Partnership must meet the following criteria:

  • Enthusiastic School Business Partner
  • Commitment to quality education of students
  • Dedication to the continuation and success of the Partnership
  • Participation on a regular, dependable scheduled basis
