Muldoon Elementary
Muldoon Elementary School has experienced a banner year of School Business
Partnership involvement. The common thread in the documentation of the
2001-2002 school year is that the children and staff of Muldoon Elementary are
deeply cared for by their community.
Faith Christian Community has been a partner with Muldoon Elementary for two
years. During this time they have been a constant support to the staff and
students of Muldoon Elementary in many ways.
Faith Christian Community continually provides for Muldoon. They have provided
for the basic needs of many of our students by purchasing winter coats and
boots for those who need them. They have provided over 40 children with gifts
during the Christmas season. They give of their time and energy to support
various school functions, such as volunteering during the Fall Carnival to run
games and activities for the children.
They support educational goals such as providing a school-wide puppet show
during Red Ribbon Week on the dangers of alcohol. They support Muldoon
Elementary parents by providing free child care during PTA meetings. School
staff is provided a weekly meeting time to share concerns and seek moral
support for issues and areas of concern. Faith Christian Community supports
staff and students by providing endless “surprises,” from popcorn for students
to lunch for the staff, to boost morale and send the message they are valued.
Faith Christian Community is an ever-available support to Muldoon Elementary.
When discussing the give-and-take nature of a partnership and questioning what
indeed Muldoon Elementary could possibly give back, the answer came in the form
of “opportunity.” The opportunity to share in a spirit of kindness and spread
an attitude of supportive caring throughout both communities. By welcoming the
efforts of Faith Christian Community’s members on behalf of our school, and by
sharing our heartfelt thanks for these efforts, we hope in some small way to
return the tremendous support received from Faith Christian Community.
