Credit Union 1Credit Union 1 is one of the greatest advocates for the students and staff at Lake Otis Elementary School. An active, generous, and visible business partner, Credit Union 1 is an important part of the school’s community.

Employees at Credit Union 1 donate countless hours to special events at Lake Otis. They serve as judges for spelling bees, science fairs, and geography bees. They have taught students to ice skate, helped at a PTA bicycle rodeo, and assisted with the Fall Carnival. Their presence demonstrates the importance of these activities, and proves that Credit Union 1 is a strong member of the community who cares about education and children.

Credit Union 1 was an especially generous business partner this year. When it moved its main branch to a new location, employees offered all of their used furniture to Lake Otis Elementary! Thanks to this donation, many worn out teacher desks, chairs, bookshelves, and other items were replaced. Even the principal’s desk came from Credit Union 1 at no charge.

The staff at Lake Otis was ecstatic to receive these gifts, and does everything it can to show its appreciation. Student artwork can often be seen adorning the credit union’s walls, and voices from the student choir can be heard performing for employees and customers.

Over the years, Credit Union 1 has helped Lake Otis with both financial and service needs. This year it went above and beyond, and everyone at Lake Otis is deeply grateful to have such an outstanding business partner.
