Youth Risk
Behavior Survey
2009

This anonymous survey is given to high school students bi-annually across the state and nation and is conducted by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. It gauges the frequency of behaviors that lead to social and health problems through a series of questions that range from asking about bicycle helmet use to drug and alcohol use. Our mission

The Anchorage School District Safe and Drug Free Schools Program participates in our community's responsibility to prepare socially, emotionally, and academically successful and healthy young people by offering services and resources that promote positive youth development.

Robert F. Kennedy "Each time a person stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others … they send forth a ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance."

-Robert F. Kennedy
