Leadership Academy for Administrators

- Staff Development Sessions with Leadership Academy in the title count towards non-academic credit.
- To receive credit, you need to register for a session through MLP and sign the roster when attending the session.
- Count up your Leadership Academy hours as listed in your personal MLP portfolio and e-mail Dale Normandin, Coordinator for Training and Professional Development, with that number.
- A certificate will be issued to you listing your participation hours. You need to include a copy of this certificate when you send your recertification packet to the State.
- 15 hours equals one non-academic credit. You can use three non-academic credits as part of your six credits to recertify. Do not let your certificate lapse. Remember you need six credits every five years. Starting July, 2005 the State of Alaska will charge $50.00 per credit (15 hours) when the hours earned are acquired after July 1, 2005.
