Title I Program

For Parents

Parent Involvement

In addition to instructional programs, Title I places great importance on service to children and their families and on parent involvement in planning the program, monitoring student progress, participating in the program as a volunteer, and evaluating the effectiveness of the Title I program. Parents are encouraged to become involved with the Title I program by attending Parent Advisory Council meetings and workshops and by volunteering time to work with students at home and school.

Each school has parent representatives to the Central Parent Advisory Council (CPAC) which meets a minimum of 5 times per year to share information among parents from the various schools and to provide leadership for the district Title I program. For more information, or to get involved with CPAC or your school's site team, contact the Family School Services Coordinator or principal in your child's school.
