Dear Parents:
One of the populations within the Anchorage School District is children with
special needs. Transporting these children to their respective schools is an integral part
of their school day. The Anchorage School District has prepared this information to
acquaint you with the procedures and guidelines regarding school bus transportation. We
need your assistance and cooperation to maintain timely and reliable service. Your
familiarity with and adherence to these guidelines will aid considerably in transporting your
child in a safe and efficient manner.
We will do our best to provide safe transportation that meets the specific needs of
your child. If you have questions or concerns regarding school bus service, please
contact the appropriate person listed in the back of this booklet.
