World Languages

Regional and State Declamation Contests

The annual regional and state Declamation Contests are generally held in February. High school students of Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Latin, and Spanish have the opportunity to compete in events such as Culture Trivia, Poetry Recitation, Dialogues, and Impromptu Speaking.

Speaking and listening skills that have been honed through learning a second language will be a valuable asset as these students further their education and enter the competitive world of work.
