ASD teachers - To schedule one of these guests, teachers should fill out a Community Resources Request Form and mail or fax (742-4137) it to Marva Stevens in the Community Resources Office at the ASD Education Center. Teachers can access this form through the forms & publications library on the District Connection. (Please note: This site is only available to employees from computers connected to the district's network.) |
Schools & organizations outside of ASD - Use the request form is located at the back of the booklet; it should be completed and submitted as directed. |
Check out the Alaska Native Heritage Month Web site for a calendar of events and links to other great information about this month. A wide variety of events will take place throughout November including films, readings, discussions and other opportunities to learn about native cultures.
In November students and staff will enjoy many opportunities to learn about Alaska Native and American Indian culture and history. Cable channel 14 will also be broadcasting a variety of programming related to this heritage month. Below are highlights of programs being shown throughout November.
