Hi, my name is Ric Smith. I've just starting my 22nd year at Birchwood ABC Elementary. This year I am teaching 6th grade and am looking forward to a great year with the class. Fifteen of my students this year are from my 5th grade class last year!! Welcome Elorie to Brchwood and welcome Ian, Tia, Eric, and Josh to my class from Mrs. Blake's 5th grade class. We're off to a great start!!
Well, there is termination dust on the mountains again, summer is rapidly becoming a fading memory, and I have a hundred things to do before winter sets in. But WOW, is it ever beautiful this time of year!! The chill in the air in the mornings is invigorating, the colors just boggle the senses, and the awareness that snow is just around the corner makes everything you've been putting off that needs to get done in the coming weeks seem to be all of a sudden must do items on the list!! I hope all of you find time to enjoy the beauty all around us that so many from outside pay thousands of dollars to come see!!! We are very lucky indeed to live here!!!
