|You are here: DONNA VALENTINE|
Welcome to my homepage. I'm excited to begin my 27th year of teaching. That may sound like a long time to teach, but I am still passionate about Art!
There are so many things to explore with my students and I am pleased to find the staff, students, and parents welcoming and involved in this community.
I grew up in rural Ohio and attended Kent State University, in Kent, Ohio. I attained a Bachelor's of Fine Arts Degree with minors in Education and Biological Sciences in 1977.
After teaching 3 years in Ohio, I worked teaching Art to American expats in the oil fields of Saudi Arabia for 4 years. During that time I did my international traveling.
I moved to Girdwood, Alaska in 1985 with my husband and had a daughter in 1987 and a son in 1990.
I began teaching with ASD in 1993 after moving to Anchorage.
I achieved my Master's of Education with Integrated Teaching through the Arts Program from Lesley University of Cambridge, MA in 2007.
I enjoy all types of art - of course - traveling, scuba diving, sewing and gardening.
I may be contacted at West 742-2500 or via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
I look forward to meeting you - til then I am Artfully Yours, Miss Valentine
