SUSAN FARRELL

Welcome to the ART site. This year children will be, observing art, using art vocabulary words, comparing and

contrasting art works, and creating: designs, drawings, paintings, fiber, sculptures, collages with art history.

I hope everyone has a successful and fun filled school year in the ART room. Miss Susan Farrell

FLUBBER Recipe: MIX 1 cup Elmers Glue + 1 cup warm water + 1/2 cup warm water with 1 T ablespoon of Borax mix and have fun with markers.

STAINED GLASS COOKIE RECIPIE
Mix 1 cup soft butter with 1 cups sugar, add 2 eggs, 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
Add 3 cups flour with 1/2 Teaspoon salt and mix and chill for 6-8 hours
Roll coils of dough as thick as a pencil and make shapes (hearts, trees...) on foil spryed with Pam.
Put hard candy whole or crushed in center of coil on foil . ( Candy will melt and spread out. )
Bake 350 degrees for 10 minutes and cool before removing or they fall apart!

PAPER MARBLING

Mix Ross or Elmers ART PASTE powder with water with a wisk to be as thick as whole milk. Use colored inks with droppers or dilute acrylic paint as thin as skim milk.

I added gold, silver, copper and pearl paint to the color paints. Experiment with different kinds and colors of paper, T-shirts.....

Drip paint onto the surface of the glue/water. Draw on the surface with pencils and combs and blowing.

Place paper ontop of the paint to print! Do not over draw or the images fade away. Draw slowly.

Lift and drain off excess glue. Gently wash off excess glue in sink with water faucet. Set on paper to dryout.

Liquid starch and jelatin will also work as thickiners.

Be creative and have fun !!
