Welcome to the 2016-17 school year. I'm excited about this year's curriculum, and I look forward to creating a dynamic classroom that encourages students to read and write and to discuss their ideas. The class will help students prepare both for IB assessments and AP exams. I will try to use this page for the posting of assignments, mainly for those students who missed class due to an excused absence. However, I won't be able to present the assignments on this website with the same detail and thoroughness with which I present them in class, and the assignments posted will primarily be the large assignments or assignments with attached pdfs. I will also try to notify and remind students of deadlines for major assignments and will make periodic updates regarding curriculum and important events. I want to emphasize the importance of students' independence of thought. I strongly discourage the use of outside texts, including the internet, as a substitute for reading the texts in our curriculum. Please feel free to contact me via email or phone if you have any questions or concerns.
