The mission of the Educational Technology Department is to support schools in the use of technology as a tool for learning by providing staff development, instructional support, resources, technology planning and opportunities that empower students and staff.

This is my fifth year with the Educational Technology Department and my third year as the EdTech Title1 Teacher. I was a classroom teacher for many years and have taught in Colorado, Indiana and (of course) Alaska. This is my 16th year with ASD and for 10 of those years I had the opportunity to be a Math and Literacy Support Teacher. I was also my building's Building Tech Contact for 4 years. I enjoy helping schools integrate technology into their core curriculum to enhance the daily instruction and motivate students.

Some of the applications I help support are Ellis, Fast Forward (Elem. Schools), SuccessMaker, and Waterford.
