CHERYL CHILDERS

Hello and Welcome to Ms. Childers' Health Class!

I am delighted to be your child's Health/SEL Specialist for Airport Heights and Alpenglow Elementary Schools. I will be helping your students learn all about health
and wellness during their time in
elementary school. It's going to be a great opportunity for students to learn about themselves in a safe and fun way!

The Anchorage School District uses the Great Body Shop curriculum. The following are areas of focus for this school year:
Safety; Personal Safety; Body Systems; Nutrition; Healthy Habits (Lungs & Respiratory System); Human Growth and Development/Hygiene; Germs/Communicable
Diseases/Blood; Just Say
"No!" to Drugs; Physical Fitness/Muscles/Bones

If you have any questions, or comments, feel free to email me or stop on by! I will be in the art/health room @ Alpenglow from 8:40-8:50am or 3:40-4:00 pm (Monday
- Friday every other two weeks) and
@t Airport Heights you can find me in the art/health relo from 8:30-8:40 and 3:30-3:50 (Tuesday - Friday every other two weeks!)

I look forward to seeing everyone! Here's to a wonderful school year!
