Welcome, Naval Science / Leadership I-IV is designed to assist cadets/students in accomplishing the following goals:
NS I - An introduction to developing leadership, teamwork, and high standards of personal conduct and appearance. The curriculum will cover the History of NJROTC; Military Drill; Citizenship; Uniforms; Laws - Authority - Responsibility; Military Customs and Courtesies.
NS II - A continuation of leadership development; War-at-Sea; How the U.S. Navy functions; Naval Strategy and Tactics; Maritime Geography - Oceanography - Meteorology - Astronomy - and Aeronautical Science.
NS III - An increased emphasis on leadership responsibilities by assuming positions of leadership as Cadet Staff. Curriculum taught will emphasize Sea Power; National Security; Laws of the Sea; Shipboard Life; Rules of the Road; and Navigation-time.
NS IV - This year culminates the Cadets leadership roles by having them be responsible for the direction of the Unit. Course of study will be on Leadership Responsibilities; Ethics and Morals; Case Studies; Positions of Authority; Responsibility for Others; NEFE High School Financial Planning Program.
All Cadets/Students will receive training in Marksmanship and the Safe Handling of an Air Rifle.
