Welcome to Inlet View! There are two Kindergarten classes, both of which are full-day programs. Students arrive at 8:50 a.m.
and leave school at 3:30 p.m. We have one regular recess, a 20-minute lunch period, and a daily snack provided by parent
Some of the highlights of our Kindergarten year include:
Participating in the ASD/ADF&G salmon program. We harvest salmon eggs, raise them in an aquarium in our classroom
refrigerator and release them in the Spring.
Incubating chicken eggs to learn about the hatching process. We have had 5-13 chicks hatch every year!
Field trips! Field trips will include the Anchorage Fire Department tour of Fire Station One, Elmendorf Fish Hatchery
tour, Alaska Junior Theater productions, and many more.
Messy Paint Day! With the help of our fabulous parent volunteers, we paint large painting each week to decorate our hallway. Not only is this fun, but we practice following directions, motor skills, visual perception
and we unleash our inner artists.
Kindergarten is fun!
