First Grade is an exciting year! Chldren learn to read! They learn to write D'Nealian letters correctly and to write stories. They use Everyday Mathematics to expand their math skills. They expand their knowledge of the world around them by learning about self, family, school, and neighborhood. In Science, they study Alaskan animals and watersheds, as well as balancing and weighing.
